FAQ

Will you have any awards?
Overall awards will be given to the top male and female in each race category. We will also recognize the top team from the 2 and 4 person relay. The top male and female in each of the following age groups will be awarded:

10K: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24. Half Marathon: 14-19, 20-24. Full Marathon: 18-24. 10K, Half Marathon & Full Marathon Age Groups: 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+.

The 10K awards ceremony will take place at 9:00PM, Half Marathon at 10:00PM and Full Marathon/Marathon Relay at 11:00PM. These times are approximate and are based off of estimated finisher times.

When will race registration close?
Registration information will be coming soon.

What time will the course close?
The course is set to close at midnight. The streets along the course will re-open to traffic as soon as the field advances.

Is there a time limit for the full marathon?
The full marathon will start at 6:00PM and the course will close at midnight. This equates to be an approximate 13:44 min./mile pace.

Can someone else pick up my race packet for me?
Participants unable to pick up their own race packet may have someone else pick up their packet. You must bring a copy of valid identity for the race packet you are picking up on behalf of another participant. We are not responsible for any missing race packets.

Where will packet pick up be located?
Packet pickup will be released as the event approaches.

Can we sign up as a team?
Yes, your team leader will register first and will sign up with your team name. The team leader will then register the remaining participants and only one form of payment will be allowed.

Does the course have any hills?
No, the course is completely flat and includes scenic views of the City of Hamilton and along the waterway of the Great Miami River Recreational Trail.

Is there on-site parking available at the Fitton Center?
Unfortunately, this area will be closed for course setup and safety reasons. Please reference our parking page for additional information.

Who will receive a finisher’s medal?
Every individual who registers will receive a custom finishers medal.

What if there is bad weather?
All races will take place rain or shine. The races will be cancelled only if absolutely necessary. In this case, there will be no refunds. Each athlete must accept the risks taken.

Will the course be lit?
There will be several areas along the course lit. Plan on seeing lights to illuminate your path!

Will headphones and music be allowed on the course?
Yes, since this is a closed course, music and headphones will be allowed. Please be aware of your surroundings for safety purposes. The Hamilton NightGlow Marathon, Inc. will not be responsible for any personal negligence.

Will there be hyrdation stations located throughout the course? 
Yes, there will be four stations on the course. Please reference our course map for approximate locations for water stops. Gatorade will also be offered at each water location. 

Will the course be stroller friendly?
Unfortunately, the course will not be stroller friendly due to safety reasons.

Will the course be walker friendly?
Yes, the course will be walker friendly but we ask that walkers give the right of way to runners.

Will the course be pet friendly?
Unfortunately, the course will not be pet friendly due to safety reasons, so please leave your furry friends at home.

Will there be race day registration?
More information will become available in 2018.
